About Me
The most important thing to know about me is that I enjoy empowering people! As an ENFP (my MBTI type) I am considered an “Imaginative Motivator”. I see life as a creative adventure full of exciting possibilities. I’m gifted at understanding how people and groups work and am persuasive and compelling when pursuing what is important to me.
Providing insight into possibilities for your future is what is important to me!
My background in university academic advising provided me with plenty of opportunities to help people navigate their path to a fulfilling major or occupation, however, I rarely got the chance to spend quality time talking about what motivates people and why they want to work. I experienced a growing desire to help people discover their unique strengths and avoid what I call the “Endless Circle of Indecision”.
I also discovered that I enjoy helping people understand their personality type. It’s amazing what happens when you learn that you can appreciate your spontaneous way of making decisions (for example) AND the planned, orderly approach of others!
Education
I’ve earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Guidance & Counseling. I am certified to administer and interpret the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
Since establishing CareerSTRONG, I have completed the MBTI Certification for Step I and Step II, have completed certification requirements for the Type 360 © and Leader Agility 360 program, and have completed the requirements for the MBTI Master Practitioner Credential.
What My Clients Say...
"I highly recommend the services of CareerSTRONG. My older children benefited from the brainstorming of career pathways based on their personality profile and preferences. They were able to sit down with Kim and discuss areas where they could really shine as well as areas where they may struggle. They also benefited from learning about some of the less common careers that are available."

"CareerSTRONG has been a huge blessing. As a high school junior, my daughter was becoming increasingly anxious because she was unsure as to what career she should pursue. The assessment process and extensive time Kim spent with us shed light on my daughter's strengths and preferences. It exposed us to jobs to research and consider. Ultimately this led her to a career and college she is thoroughly excited about. This was definitely money well spent! We were so thrilled with the results that we just had our son complete the process. I gladly recommend CareerSTRONG!"

"I wish I had met Kim 3 years ago when I started college! She would have saved me a lot of time and frustration."
